  The setting is lovely, the G&T selection is amazing. I was looking forward to the food but came away dissapointed. The food quality was excellent but I feel the combinations of such different flavours in each dish were to rich, and very salty (I love salt so unusual for me to think food is too salty) especially the chips. I have eaten in other Michelin starred restaruants recently and came away wowed with the food, I wanted this from the H&F. Not a restaurant I will want to go back to.

  Bar area has a very relaxing ambience, and they serve a delicious range of g and ts. Food is as you would expect from a 2* place, while my venison was slightly overwhelmed by a black pudding element, my wifes lamb was about the best I've ever tasted. Superb dessert too. An excellent meal, staff attentive without being cloying. A different, more informal experience to other Michelin starred places I've been, but none the worse for it.

  Superb choice of food. We warned them in advance of my Gluten and lactose intolerance and the waitress was very good on explaining which items on the menu were suitable.
  Food tasted amazing and the quality was extremely high.
  I would definitely visit again.

  Service first class. However, was very frustrated when trying to make the booking as no one answered my phone calls. Tried on a few occasions and it just rang and went back to main prompt with no option to leave a message. Setting and atmosphere was lovely. Service faultless also. Starters were very good but was disappointed with my steak. It was described so well, however, the fillet was cooked to perfection but in my opinion lacked the flavours I was expecting for a £40 main. My wife had the lamb and this was amazing.
